Dying Light 2recently launched a new crossover withThe Walking Deadto celebrate 20 years of the massive franchise. Thecollaboration withThe Walking Deadwas announcedearlier this month, and is part of the Summer of Horrors, a series of events, crossovers, and updates thatDying Light 2will host until September. During the event,Dying Light 2players will have seven challenges to complete, one per day from July 26 to August 2, that reward comic book covers. Players who collect all the comic book covers will get a weapon charm that resembles Rick Grimes' sheriff’s hat. A separate set of weekly challenges will be available from July 26 to August 2, where those who take down 850 enemies will receive the blueprint for Lucille, Negan’s infamous barbed-wire baseball bat. If theDying Light 2community reaches the goal of killing a total of 160 million enemies, all players will receive a wearable version of Rick’s hat.
The collaboration betweenDying Light 2andThe Walking Deadhas also brought a new bundle to the game’s store. In this pack, Rick Grimes' suit, Negan’s knife, Lucille, Michonne’s katana and the respective blueprints, and a themed paraglider, are available.
While this is one of the most famous crossovers hosted by Techland’s game, this is not the game’s first collab. Previously,Dying Light 2collaborated withCall of Juarezin an event that brought two Techland games together.
Earlier this year Techland revealed the 2023 roadmap forDying Light 2and announced the arrival of several improvements and new content. Among the new features was theDying Light 2update released last monthto improve the nighttime experience. But there’s more in store forDying Light 2players, including a DLC with new locations, weapons, and story.
Dying Light 2is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
