This isn’t the first time Great Ape Vageta has been shown, as the nostalgia filled commercial that broughtDragon Ball Zto liferecently also showcased this impressive form before. However, this new video shows a more hands-on view of how the imposing encounter plays out inDragon Ball Z: Kakarotas the player is tasked with going toe to toe with the behemoth. The Great Ape takes up so much of the screen that, while it might be difficult to miss with a well placed punch or Kamehameha, it moves quickly enough to make the idea of escaping its massive swings nearly impossible.

The fight follows the pacing of the original anime as well, going through all of the different forms of Vegeta as players have to keep fighting him with different characters in both his regular and Great Ape forms. This means that models of Vegeta throughout the fight have also been made for this encounter, including a battle worn version of the Great Ape. His design is just as impressive inDragon Ball Z: Kakarotas it was in the original anime, towering the Great Ape high above Goku and making the player feel as tiny as the characters did in the show.
