The latest CGI trailer for Gameloft’s newest racer highlights the fact thatDisney Speedstormfeatures nearly a century’s worth charactersfrom both Disney and its award-winning animation studio Pixar. More specifically, the short promo shows Mickey Mouse, Jack Sparrow, Fa Mulan, and James P. Sullivan fromMonsters Inc.racing against one another on a futuristic, neon-lit track. The course featured in the CGI trailer looks slightly reminiscent of Neo Bowser City—also known as Koopa City in PAL regions—from the last twoMario Kartgames, though it is most likely meant to be based on The Factory fromMonsters Inc., which was already confirmed as part of theDisney Speedstormtrack list.
Gameloft has so far confirmed over 15 heroes that will be making their way toDisney Speedstormat launch. Some of the most recognizable names from that list not shown in this latest trailer include Donald Duck, Goofy, Mowgli, Hercules, and Beast fromBeauty and the Beast. Furthermore, Jack Sparrow won’t be the only character from thePirates of the Caribbeanmoviesto be featured in the game, with the developers previously confirming that Elizabeth Swann will also be playable.
