ADisney Dreamlight Valleyplayer encountered a bizarre Fairy Godmother and Merlin character hybrid. Developed by Gameloft, the adventure and life simulation game lets players explore a colorful world filled with beloved Disney characters. They can also accomplish quests to earn special items, andcustomize theirDisney Dreamlight Valleyavatars.
Disney Dreamlight Valleyis currently in Early Access, and will have a full release sometime soon. While many players seem to be enjoying the game so far, especially with the amount of content it already has, it’s not safe from the occasional bugs and glitches. Fortunately, they don’t seem to be game-breaking as some players reported hilarious bugs, liketurning aDisney Dreamlight Valleyavatar partially invisible.

Following the release ofDisney Dreamlight Valley’s The Remembering update earlier this month, players wereintroduced to the Fairy Godmother fromCinderella. However, when player HovercraftPractical met Fairy Godmother in the game, they discovered that her character model merged with Merlin’s model. The bug created a strange hybrid character showing the fairy’s face attached to the bearded wizard’s body.
ManyDisney Dreamlight Valleyplayers in the Reddit comments found the encounter hilarious. Some even gave the Fairy Godmother and Merlin hybrid equally funny names, like Hairy Godfather and Dumbledore. A few also said that they experienced the same bug when interacted with Fairy Godmother. Additionally, HovercraftPractical said they needed to speak with Merlin as well, but was a struggle because of the glitch.
There didn’t seem to be an explanation as to how this hybrid happened inDisney Dreamlight Valley, or how it could be fixed. There was a similar incident in the past whereMickey Mouse and Prince Eric got stuck together. The player back then said they had to bump into the characters a few times in order to separate them. Perhaps this would also work if more players encounter the Fairy Godmother and Merlin bug in their playthroughs. Hopefully, this issue would get fixed in the nextDisney Dreamlight Valleypatch update.
Disney Dreamlight Valleycurrently has a bunch of new content that many players have been playing through. However, there were also some who took issue withDisney Dreamlight Valley’s microtransaction tactic, where the Dream Bundle’s side quest was locked behind a paywall, and not getting enough rewards from the Wonder of Pixar Star Path. There’s no knowing yet how Gameloft plans to resolve these, but players might expect microtransactions to become more apparent asDisney Dreamlight Valley’s full release inches closer.
