Dirt 5is heading to current generation and next generation consoles in early November and developer Codemasters is showing off the game more and more. Now, a brand newDirt 5gameplay trailershowcases the lush, jungle environment of the game’s Chinese off-road course.
Codemasters has showcased plenty of in-game footage displaying the impressive lighting and reflection technology present throughout theDirt 5. The China gameplay trailer is no exception, giving players a glimpse at the lush, jungle environment on next generation hardware.

Dirt 5 is set to be one of the first premier racing titles coming to the next generation consoles. However, while theXbox Series X port forDirt 5launches on November 10, the PS5 port has yet to be given a release date. Hopefully, the PS5 version ofDirt 5will launch around the same time the game arrives on Xbox Series X, but it remains to be seen. WhileDirt 5looks impressive enough on current generation hardware, the brand new China gameplay trailer showcases the game’s graphical fidelity on next generation hardware.
The trailer shows off-road point-to-point racing through a lush, jungle environment set in China. The trailer features four different racers tackling the course. The course itself looks gorgeous, composed of off-road and temple sections with scattered puddles throughout vibrant jungle environment.
The trailer’s description makes special note that the footage was captured on next generation console. It’s clear that Codemasters is proud of whatDirt 5is graphically capable of on the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Additionally, the description mentions that the next generation versions ofDirt 5offer up “a 120fps option” for those who want higher frame output than the standard 60fps.Dirt 5offers cross-generational featureslike online multiplayer and playground courses, however it seems that the 120fps is not one of them.
It’s also important to note thatDirt 5PS4 saves won’t transferto PS5, so players who own the PlayStation family of consoles would do well to remember that. Aside from that concession for players looking to grab a PS5 console at launch,Dirt 5looks to be a promising early title for next generation consoles. The game definitely looks like a promising racing title at the very least. Dirt 5will be released November 6 for PS4 and Xbox One, as well as November 10 for Xbox Series X/S. Dedicated PS5 and Stadia versions are in development.
