WhileDiablo 4features a robust and categorized inventory system, it’s still important for players to know how to properly manage their loot and upgrade their Stash. Increasing the size of that Stash will be important asDiablo 4ends its Early Access phase and officially begins its first season on the evening of June 5th, 2023.

From the onset of the game, theDiablo 4inventory is neatly organized into categories which include Equipment, Consumables, Quest Items, and Aspects. While it’s convenient to havemajorDiabloitems like Aspectsimmediately visible within the inventory, it isn’t long before Blizzard’s loot-based rewards begin to overwhelm that space. As each character’s carrying capacity fills, the value ofDiablo 4’s Stash becomes increasingly apparent.

Diablo 4: How To Increase Stash

The Stash is a 50-slot inventory space withinDiablo 4that is shared across multiple characters. to increase its capacity, players need to access the Stash and follow the on-screen prompts toexchange their gold for additional tabs.

This feature can first be accessed immediately after players have reached the game’s first major hub city,Kyovashad. Within that city, players only need to mark the chest-shaped iconon theirDiablo 4mapand follow the path toward it. In Kyovashad specifically, the chest is located directly beside a wardrobe where players can customize their appearance.

The initial increase ofDiablo 4’s Stash costs 100,000 gold. This is a mighty sum for early players, which suggests that increasing the Stash capacity might not be important until after the completion ofDiablo’s First Act. However, considering Blizzard’s reputation foroverpricing rewards in games likeDiablo 4, this steep initial cost might be designed to keep players grinding for longer than necessary within the starting areas.

AsDiablo 4’s Early Access phase reaches its conclusion, mechanics like the in-game Stash have been rightfully well-received. Regardless of its cost, like many otherDiablo 4"quality of life" improvements, increasing the Stash’s inventory space has contributed to the game’s great public reception.

WhenDiablo 4goes live to all players, time will tell whether this positive fanfare will be tainted by theincreasedDiablo 4server stressor by the introduction of Sanctuary’s first Battle Pass.

Diablo 4is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
