Bungie’s work over the years onDestiny 2made the game one of the best on the market, and as the game started to grow more and more, so did the company itself. One of Bungie’s values is to support itsDestiny 2players, but also several different charities and humanitarian aid organizations, and the company created the Bungie Foundation to help people around the globe. A great porject from the Bungie Foundation is iPads for Kids, which aims at providing children with age-appropriate entertainment in the form of iPads while they are facing distressing situations in hospitals across the United States.

BecauseDestiny 2is a game where customization matters, Bungie has also released many emblems over the years that support different causes or show the players' dedication to humanitarian crises through their donations. An example comes from the Bungie Store’s Pride Pin, a symbol of support to the LGBTQ+ community, which also provides anyone who purchases it with a code to redeem the True Colors emblem, mirroring the rainbow pattern on the pin itself.

With November’s Trans Awareness Week approaching,Destiny 2’s Community Manager, dmg04, shared a post on Twitter stating that a new emblem to support the trans community will be coming soon. The emblem is called Be True, and it was announced earlier this year on Trans Visibility Day - March 31st - when Bungie also introduced Trans at Bungie as one of the company’s Inclusion Clubs. The emblem was revealed to be tied to the Pride Pin in some way, likely available with it on purchase, but dmg04 stated that is no longer the case and the emblem is meant to be accessible to all.

At the same time, in Bungie’s effort to stand with the transgender community and gender-nonconforming individuals, all the profits ofBungie Store’s Pride pin are set to go to Trans Lifelinein order to raise awareness and stop violence on trans people. It’s still unclear howDestiny 2players will be able to obtain the trans-themed emblem, but Bungie stated that more information will come sometime next week.

Bungie has always been known in the industry to take care of its employees, who allworked from home during the early stages of the pandemic. And now, having a trans-themed emblem available to allDestiny 2players means that everyone can show their support in-game.

Destiny 2is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
