The Prophecy dungeon had its loot table refreshed in the 7.3.5 patch ofDestiny 2, and players who want to grab all the new weapons it offers will want to hit every source of loot they can find. Thankfully, Prophecy also has some hidden chests that always contain dungeon-specific gear.
It’s always a good idea to open up secret chests when you’re runningany ofDestiny 2’sdungeons. If you’re a new player or if it’s your first time running Prophecy, here’s where you can find the two hidden chests within this weird and mysterious realm.

First Chest - Desert
Once youbeat the Phalanx Echo boss, step into the middle plate to teleport to a large desert area. This place is wide open, and getting your bearings straight can be a little confusing. The area you’re looking for here is a sort of basement. To find it, ride around the desert until you see some tall structures by the dunes.
If you’re having trouble finding this spot, look for a golden streak of sand. Also, there’s usually an invisible Minotaur guarding the entrance of the building you’re looking for. Find the gold streak and squeeze inside the small, nearby opening. The secret chest is right around the corner of the tight hallway.

Second Chest - The Singularity (Rainbow Road)
After beating the Cube encounter, you’ll need to go through the Singularity, otherwise referred to as Rainbow Road by the community. From the Cube’s entrance, head slightly to the right until you find another giant structure. You’ll eventually arrive at the Singularity’s starting point. Once you reach this part, proceed along the winding ribbon road and until you reach the final giant diamond outpost at the end of the track; the one before you ascend to the boss room. you’re able to skip most of this if you’veunlocked one ofDestiny 2’sskimmer hoverboards.
Inside the giant diamond, check the corners of the main hall until you find a hole in the floor. Drop down, then follow the path. Jump across the gap, go up the stairs, and the secret chest will be waiting for you there.

Hidden dungeon chests can only be opened once per week per character. If you want to get the most loot out of them, you’ll need to switch to your alts. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait until the next weekly reset. If you’re running the dungeon with friends, ask if you may switch to a different character for some fast loot before moving on. Be quick about it, though, as secret dungeon chests might disappear if left open for too long.
