Summary
One creative member of theDestiny 2community has managed to perfect an outfit for their Hunter to make them resembleMinecraft’s iconic and explosive Creeper mob. The vast range of cosmetic options and outfit color combinations inDestiny 2often leads to some impressive character customization from the game’s community, and this isn’t the first time players have created their own custom outfits inspired by other franchises throughout the world of gaming.
Speaking of inspired outfits,Destiny 2’s recent collaboration withMass Effecthas further added to the pool of cosmetics available in Bungie’s solar system-spanning multiplayer RPG. This crossover has brought a new set of armor ornaments for each class inDestiny 2, and while each of these outfits comes at the cost of 2,000 silver - or around $20 each - players can still enjoy the Alliance Requisitions bundle for free by claiming it via the seasonal offerings tab in the Eververse store. This pack includes an assortment ofMass Effect-themed cosmetics, including a Ghost Shell, a Sparrow, and even a ship themed on the series' iconic Normandy spacecraft.

In fact, one of the newMass Effect-inspired cosmetics helped make it possible for one creative member of theDestiny 2fashion community to create their own outfit depicting theeasily recognizable Creeper monster fromMinecraft. The fan who put this awesome outfit together is known as JuIicious online, who proceeded to share their creation in a Reddit post which quickly caught the attention of many others in the community. While the full list of cosmetics used can be found in the original post, the envious gaze shader was used to perfect the color, with the creator also deciding that the Bombardiers would be a fitting exotic to use for the outfit build.
The designer also used the new Vakarian Cowl cosmetic from the recentMass Effectcrossover to give their Guardian glowing red eyes, which while not actually a feature of the Creeper model inMinecraft, is a detail that’s commonly included by fan artists and animators when depicting the monster. This isn’t the only creative outfit that fans have crafted lately, with one player making theirGuardian inDestiny 2look like a character fromHelldivers.
Will Destiny 2 Get More Crossovers in The Future?
Mass Effectisn’t the only series that has seen a crossover withDestiny 2recently, with the game also receiving a collection ofcosmetics based onThe Witcherback in November. It’s very likely that the game will see even more new crossovers in the future, thoughDestiny 2isn’t too far from its climatic Final Shape expansion which is due to launch in June.
