Destiny 2dataminers have revealed a slew of all-new loot that’s coming with the game’s seminalLightfallDLC, and much of it has never been seen before. With the game’s files having been made available for preload ahead of the expansion’s official launch, prospective players have taken the time to pore over them with their decryption tools, some of which have borne fruit already.

WithDestiny 2players facing the greatest threatthe franchise has had so far, it was a given that Bungie would try to provide a whole slew of exciting new gear for players to earn. While it was to be expected that much of it would stay hidden until the DLC actually came out, it appears thatLightfallmay feature more weaponry than was initially expected.

Bungie itself has already revealedDestiny 2’s The Root of Nightmares raid, which is implied to be taking place aboard a Light-infested pyramid ship. Not to be outdone, dataminers quickly took things to the next level by discovering what looks like the full set of raid gear drops, including utilities such as the sparrow and the ship, as well as all the weapons and all three class-specific armor sets. Notably, the models themselves haven’t yet been shown, but the icons paint a clear picture of the gear’s design language.

The three classes' respective Eververse sets have already been spotted, too, and it’s possible that they are, in fact, Bungie’s interpretation ofAmong Usaesthetics inDestiny 2, which would track with the game’s previous collaborations. Instead of simply importing models from other games, Bungie tasks its designers with adapting the games' design cues and aesthetics forDestiny, and it’s possible that Season 20’s Eververse sets are just another example of that process taking place.

Many players will be more interested in the leaked weaponry, however.Destiny 2promised to spice up Adept weaponswith the release of theLightfallDLC, and the Root of Nightmares gear certainly looks visually striking. The capabilities of these armaments are yet to be seen, but Adept weapons, in particular, appear to have grown colorful crystalline structures that follow the raid’s own design language, suggesting an intermingling of Light and Dark.

Destiny 2is currently available for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
