As forwhat is next at Kojima Productionsafter the successful release ofDeath Strandinglast year, Hideo Kojima revealed in an interview with Famitsu Weekly Magazine last month that he is interested in developing smaller titles. While the developer did not go into specific details, it is likely that the studio will be releasing smaller-scale games, which could be in the form of episodic or digital-only formats. Of course, this approach will be a massive departure from Kojima’s usual triple-A titles, but it will be interesting to see what the developer has in mind for the future.
Meanwhile, it was recently announced thatHideo Kojima will be this year’s recipientof BAFTA Games' The Fellowship Award. To the uninitiated, The Fellowship is given to an individual and recognize’s a person’s contribution to film, television, and games. Of course, given Kojima’s vast influence in the video game industry with successful games such asMetal GearandDeath Strandingunder his belt, the BAFTA award is not at all surprising. Kojima is set to receive BAFTA’s highest honor on August 09, 2025.
Death Strandingis out now on PlayStation 4 and is set to release on PC later this year.
