Alongside the trailer, an image from Nvidia was shared that led to some confusion, prompting CD Projekt Red to tell fans that PC specifications will be coming soon.

It’s a roundabout story, but the key part of it is that one Nvidia image that was shared in theCyberpunk 2077community. The image included a screenshot ofCyberpunk 2077with labeling at the bottom saying, “Next-Gen Games Creat I/O Challenges” with a mention of “200GB Games” below it.Cyberpunk 2077fans on Reddit ran with the image, questioningwhether Cyberpunk 2077 will require a 200GB install. Naturally, reactions to the possibility were not particularly rational.

Regardless of the controversial response, the popularity of the post on Reddit was big enough that CD Projekt Red took notice. Community Lead Marcin Momot made a post on Twitter clarifying the situation, saying thatCyberpunk 2077"won’t take up 200GB when installed." Further, he adds that, “You can expect the required HDD space to be on par with other modern titles.” No final number is provided becauseCD Projekt Redis still finalizingCyberpunk 2077’s final system requirements.

That’s where the important bit of Momot’s post on Twitter comes in. Momot says that whileCyberpunk 2077’s system requirements are not available yet, but “they are coming soon.” PC gamers will be able to evaluateCyberpunk 2077’s minimum and recommended requirementsin the somewhat near future, though Momot doesn’t provide any information more specific than “soon,” unfortunately. Players will have to wait until then to know exactly how much storage spaceCyberpunk 2077will take up.

For those hoping to make a rough estimation regarding the storage space likely required forCyberpunk 2077, some guesses can probably be made.Marvel’s Avengersrequires 90GB, for example.Watch Dogs Legion, on the other hand, will require just 40GB.Cyberpunk 2077likely fits somewhere in the middle.

A newNight City Wire eventforCyberpunk 2077has already been confirmed for the end of September. It’ll air as part of Tokyo Game Show 2020 Online, a digital version of the annual Japanese convention. PC specifications could be revealed during the event.
