Summary

After the first installment proved that a fantasyBorderlandsspin-off could work,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2can provide even more fantastical creatures for players to encounter. After all, sinceTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsis all about playing with fantasy tropes in addition to remixingBorderlands' gameplay, If anything, a sequel should seek to go even further than the first game did. That means more weapons, more magic, and more monsters thatTiny Tina’s Wonderlandsdidn’t get to the first time around. If anything, new monsters may be the key to making the sequel even better than the first.

Much like theDragon Lord,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands' final boss, many of the monsters that players fight in the game are various types of undead. Skeletons and zombies make up the bulk of the Dragon Lord’s army, which seems rather fitting considering his obvious lich parallels. Several other famous monsters appear in the game as well, such as goblins and cyclopes. Of course, a fantasy adventure wouldn’t be complete without dragons, and the first game featured several varieties of wyverns to fill that role.Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsalready covered many of the most iconic monsters, but that just means the next game can get more creative.

The Next Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands Can Add Far More Magical Creatures

Minotaurs, Big Beefy Foes With High Mobility

A minotaur could provide an appropriatelylegendary boss battle inTiny TIna’s Wonderlands' sequel. While hulking trolls provided a formidable challenge in the first game, a minotaur could be a new kind of beefy foe. In addition to being gifted combatants, they could also have the ability to charge forward like an enraged bull. In a shooter likeTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, an enemy that can close the distance and deal heavy damage at the same time would pose a significant threat to the player. Either as a boss or regular enemy, a minotaur would be an excellent fit forTiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2.

Golems, Defenders Crafted From Various Materials

Similar to how it would be a good idea forTiny Tina’s Wonderlands' sequel to introduce gear crafting, some homemade monsters in the form of golems would be a welcome addition as well. Because of the nature of golems in fantasy, they could be formed from all kinds of materials, from wood, to stone, and even metal. While they could be serious threats with their size and strength, they could also open another opportunity. Since many classes in the first game had pets, a new class that can summon golems could be a cool twist on that mechanic, especially if the game lets players get creative with its design.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands already covered many of the most iconic monsters, but that just means the next game can get more creative.

Werewolves, the Classic Half-Human, Half-Wolf Warriors

One of the most well-known monsters in all of fantasy was missing from theD&D-inspiredTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and that’s the werewolf.Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandhad the players fight many bandits in the overworld’s random battles, and the amount of monstrous enemies speaks for itself, and a werewolf would be like both enemy types combined. A werewolf foe could simply be a giant wolf, or it could combine its sharp claws with gunplay. Maybe they could even start as human gunfighters before turning into melee-focused berserkers upon transforming. Werewolves were a big omission fromTiny Tina’s Wonderlands, and well worth adding in a sequel.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandswas a fun fantasy parody, and more monsters would only be a positive for a sequel. After all,Tiny Tina’s Wonderlandsadded a new classthat fit right in with the others, so bringing more monsters into a sequel should be perfectly doable. Not to mention, more variety in enemies will naturally lead to more variance in missions, making complete runs of the game more satisfying to pursue. There would be nothing but positives when it comes to introducing new monsters inTiny Tina’s Wonderlands 2, and there are thankfully a lot of fantasy creatures to choose from.
