Summary
Call of Duty: Warzonehas significantly nerfed the Renetti’s JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit, which has become controversial in recent weeks. Before the nerf, theCall of Duty: Warzonepistol’s conversion kit saw it become a powerful SMG better than almost all other meta options.
Following widespread complaints from theWarzonecommunity,Call of Dutyrecently confirmed that a Renetti nerfwould arrive in the near future. While the Renetti itself is a useful handgun, its JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit transforms it into a short-barreled SMG and allows users to equip regular attachments. Following recent nerfs to other popular SMGs and buffs to the Renetti, players quickly realized that a decked-out JAK Ferocity Renetti was an incredibly capable weapon at short range, with many arguing that it was overpowered. Fortunately for those frustrated with the kit,Warzone’s development team has responded.

The Renetti JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit’s maximum damage, minimum damage, maximum damage range, lower torso damage multiplier, and arms and hands damage multiplier have all been decreased by varying percentages. The biggest changes are its max damage being decreased from 36 to 28 and its max damage range being decreased from 17.52 meters to 12.44 meters. These adjustments should have a noticeable effect while using the Renetti kit, especially during non-short-range engagements. The Renetti nerf was the only change included inWarzone’s April 10 update, highlighting the importance that the game’s development team seems to have placed on this issue.
Warzoneusers in search of a new SMG have plenty of options, with weapons likeCall of Duty’s HRM-9and Striker 9 being particularly popular at this time. The recently launched Season 3 also added the FJX Horus SMG, an option that might not be as powerful as the previously mentioned weapons but could still be interesting to try out.
On April 9,Warzonereceived an additional updatethat added ground vehicles to Rebirth Island along with various bug fixes and minor improvements.Warzone’s next major update will likely arrive with Season 3 Reloaded, which is expected to release sometime in early May.Call of Duty’s roadmap confirmed that an update later in Season 3 will see the return of Weapon Trade Stations and the Specialist Perk Package, as well as the new killstreak Foresight.
A recentCall of Dutyleak also revealed two weaponspossibly coming toModern Warfare 3andWarzonein the future, the Kar98k sniper rifle and SPAS-12 shotgun. The two classic weapons might headline a future battle pass, but this is just speculation.
