Call of Duty: Warzonehas proven to be hugely popular, with the modeplayed by over 15 million playersworldwide at last count. WhileCall of Duty: Warzonehas been generally well-received by fans, the game is not without its flaws and technical issues. One bug discovered inWarzoneis particularly frustrating for players, however, as it causes them to spawn in the poison gas after winning a Gulag fight.
For those who may not know,Call of Duty: Warzoneplayers are given a chance to rejoin the battle royale match after they die by winning a1v1 Gulag fightunder Gunfight rules. This feature has been highly praised, but it becomes a bit of a problem late in the match when gas is covering most of the map. When winning a late game Gulag match, someWarzoneplayers have found themselves respawning in the gas, causing them to die almost instantly.

This issue was documented byCall of Duty: Warzoneplayer and Reddit user on-my-mobile, who shared a clip of them respawning in the gas. They seem to take damage before the screen even goes from black to the action, as coughing can clearly be heard. Unfortunately, they have no chance of getting back to the safety of the circle before the gas wipes them out.
This is obviously not by design as it would completely defeat the point of the Gulag. Considering this, it seems more likely than not thatInfinity Wardwill address this issue at some point in a future update.
While Infinity Ward is likely to change this particular aspect of the Gulag, other quirks of the feature are likely to stay the same. For example, players have discovered that they canuse rocks to blow up claymoresand other explosives, potentially killing both Gulag participants and kicking them both out of the game. Some have found this frustrating, but Infinity Ward gave Gulag spectators rocks on purpose, likely so they can interact with the matches just like this.
Other aspects ofWarzonethat some fans have complained about may be changed, however. Some fans dislike thatplayers can get killed before even landing on theWarzonemap, and it’s possible that Infinity Ward will make it impossible for players to use their pistol until their feet have touched the ground. Then again, Infinity Ward may keep this in the game. Fans will just need to keep an eye on patch notes in the coming weeks.
Call of Duty: Warzoneis out now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
