The reboot ofCall of Duty: Modern Warfarehas been a commercial and critical success. Players have been creating a lot of content inthe critically acclaimedModern Warfaretitle and it seems that a Reddit user encountered a very funny moment while playing the game. Safe to say, the moment took the player by surprise, and their teammate was likely in shock too.

TheCall of Dutyfranchise began in 2003 and it was praised for its first-person shooting mechanics which continued to develop with online gameplay and this made the series one of the most successful of all time. It was, therefore, no surprise, that theCall of Duty: Modern Warfarereboot was a huge commercial successthat attracted a huge number of players.  With the number of players on the game, it is inevitable that funny incidents will occur but Reddit user mariodandy_ has one of the best pieces of footage that has been seen in a long while.

In the clip, the player okay signals their teammate only for their head to explode almost immediately. It seems the teammate was shot by an opponent’s sniper rifle which caused the bloody and abrupt scene. While there are plenty of ways to die inCall of Duty: Modern Warfarethere are few deaths that have better comedic timing. It is unclear whether the player managed to escape the sniper or avenge their teammate’s death but they did begin running after the shot was fired. The reaction to the video has been positive with many praising the perfect timing of the sniper shot.

Many players will be attempting to replicate this piece of comedy, onModernWarfare’s various maps, but it will be hard to capture the organic quality of this particular video. There appears to be plenty to experience inModern Warfareand it will be interesting to see what updates enable players to do next. Whether it is more maps, gestures, or new gameplay mechanics, players will hope that the developer, Infinity Ward, continues to invest in the longevity of the game.

There seems to beplenty on the horizon forCall of Duty: Modern Warfareand with a thriving community contributing their content, it is apparent that there will be a lot for fans to enjoy for some time. With that said, it may be a while before fans produce a funnier video than this one.
