The high round community inCall of DutyZombies has always been passionate, andCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris no different. However, Insomnia Virus is proving to be the most dedicated high round player inCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.
For those unfamiliar with the streamer’s previous antics, he was the same player that managed to reachWorld Tier 1000 in Outbreak. The process took several days of streaming, with luck also required, as one crash or power outage could ruin the run. Fortunately, nothing happened to mess things up, and an incredible record was set for Zombies’ open world mode. However, it seems like one record was not enough for Insomnia Virus, as the player now has his sights set on Mauer Der Toten.

What makes this world record run so impressive is thatMauer Der Toten releasedjust one week ago. As such, the player has been working on this world record stream from the very second that the map made its debut, streaming every day to make progress. Instead of needing weeks of practice, the high round expert jumped straight into the map and began setting the record. While the previous high round for the map was listed at 474 rounds on tracking websites, that has been squashed by Insomnia Virus.
The player’s world record run has them currently stopped at 669 rounds, which sees nearly a 200-round difference between second and first place. If that was not enough, Insomnia Virus has confirmed that they will keep going until they reach round 700. With the next stream scheduled for tomorrow,Call of DutyZombies fanscan witness history being made if they are so inclined. As if the player’s run was not spectacular enough, they are also training instead of camping to achieve it.
WithMauer Der Toten’s overpowered high round spotlikely being considered an exploit, camping in Room 305 is not an option. This is no issue for Insomnia Virus, however, as the player has mastered the art of training the undead. The stream saw them holding off Zombies in the Power Room, a solid location due to the open space and nearby ammo crate. Armor is available just outside the room, allowing the player to restock whenever they need to. As for the strategy, the player is using the Ring of Fire Field Upgrade as they constantly buy War Machines, something that allows them to blow up large groups quickly.
Withthe CRBR-S Wonder Weaponused in the meantime, the undead are no match for Insomnia Virus. With the player doing so well thus far, it is hard to imagine a scenario where they do not reach their round 700 goal.
