The Korok Forest inBreath of the Wildis home to several sidequests that players may not want to miss. Furthermore, it’s also home to the Master Sword, the sword that seals the darkness. Once Link departs from the Great Plateau, he’s free to travel wherever he pleases. Heading north of Hyrule Castle is the Great Hyrule Forest region.
There’s an easy-to-miss sidequest inBreath of the Wild’s Korok Forest: Riddles of Hyrule. This sidequest is a fetch-quest. Link will need to collect five specific items that match the riddles given by a Korok named Walton. Hopefully by the time players reach the Great Hyrule Forest, they’ll already have the required items in their inventory.

Where to Find the Riddles of Hyrule Sidequest?
If this is the player’s first time going to the Great Hyrule Forest, they’ll need to navigate through itsLost Woodsfirst. From theWoodland Tower(between Central Hyrule and Eldin Region), take thenorth path from the Woodland Stableto the Lost Woods. Players will want to remember to have at leastone weapon slotavailable, or have aTorch (or wooden weapon)in their inventory before trying to reach Korok Forest.
Upon entering, Link will need to use the fire from the torches as a guide. Wandering off into the mist will send him back to the start. Once Link reaches the second part of the Lost Woods, he’ll need to light a Torch and enter the mists.Pay close attention to the sparksflying from the torch. Follow the direction they’re pointing, and eventually, players will begin to hear the Sheikah Sensor detecting a nearby Shrine.Once the Shrine is in sight, Activate it to unlock the Travel Point for Korok Forest.

After a cutscene, players have the choice to draw the Master Sword from its pedestal (requires13 Heart Containers), or they can start gathering the Korok Forest sidequests.Climb to the very top of the Great Deku Treeto findWalton the Korok. Wake him up, and he’ll assign Link the Riddles of Hyrule.
Walton will give Link a total offive riddlesto solve. While the answers are quite simple, players may need to farm any items they might be missing. To complete each riddle, go into the Inventory with(+), scroll toMaterialswithRorL-button, select one withA-button,then select Hold Item. Exit out of the inventory screen and place the requested itemon the leaf in front of Walton. If Link is correct, he can advance to the next riddle.

After showing Walton the item, add it back to the inventory with A-button. Walton won’t collect anything from Link, so players might as well take them back.
Fortunately, Link can take all the time in the world to complete this sidequest. Thus, if players would rather focus on completing Shrines or doing the Korok Trials, they can do so without consequences.

Riddle
Answer
Small, red, round, and sweet! Bring me one of this simple treat!
Apple
This one is easy: Walton is asking for anApple. These are one ofthe most common materialsinBreath of the Wild, so it’s possible that players may have over 100 by the time they reach the Korok Forest. Look for apples hanging from the trees in Hyrule, such as the oneright outside the Ta’loh Naeg Shrinein Kakariko Village.
Kakariko Village’s specialty fruit! Its rock-hard flesh is quite resolute!
Fortified Pumpkin
This one may be less obscure than an apple. Walton is looking for aFortfied Pumpkin, so warp to the Ta’loh Naeg Shrine and glide down toKakariko Village. Near the clothing storewhere Link can buy the Stealth Suit, there’s a garden patch full of Fortified Pumpkins. Walk up to one and selectBuy. One Pumpkin is20 rupees, so it’s fairly cheap.
This sultry shroom will warm your bones. It makes its home in warmer zones.

Sunshroom
The third riddle is about aSunshroom. If players remember the sidequest from the Hateno Ancient Tech Lab, they needed to take a picture of a Sunshroom growing right outside the house. Go around the back and grab the Sunshroom. If that one hasn’t respawned for whatever reason, thennortheast of the Hateno Ancient Tech Labis a place calledRetsam Forest. There areplentyof Sunshrooms there, so players can grab as many as they like.
Its scales and tail will zap you, no doubt! This shocking swimmer is called a…fish.

Voltfin Trout
The fourth riddle is a bit trickier. Walton wants a Voltfin Trout, which will give Link quite the shock if he tries and grabs one. Voltin Trout are rarer thanfish like the Hyrule Bass, so the best place to farm them is atStrock Lake. Headsoutheast from Rito Villageto find it. Build platforms withCryonisisand toss a bomb at the Voltfin Trout. Then, dive in and grab them. Only one is required for the sidequest, but Link can cook or sell any extras.

If stepped on by this, you will go poof! It starts with an H and ends with anoof!
Lynel Hoof
The last riddle calls for aLynel Hoof. Lynels can be found in select areas around Hyrule, but here are just a few:
Riddles of Hyrule Reward
As arewardfor completing this sidequest, Walton will give Link aDiamond. These can sell for500 rupeesat any store/merchant, but if Link holds onto this and proceeds to collect up to10 Diamonds, he can sell them to Ramella for an impressive5,500 rupees. Ramella is a Gerudo Merchant that appears inGoron CityafterVah Rudania is freed from Fireblight Ganon.
Alternatively, Diamonds are used to upgrade armor such as the Diamond Circlet. The Diamond Circlet will decrease the amount of damage Link takes from Guardians. However, since the Ancient Gear is arguably better, it may not be worth upgrading the Diamond Circlet.
