Temtemis full of weird and wonderful creatures to catch. The Toxic-type in particular, are quite strong early-game due to the prevalence of Water and Nature types, so they are a necessary addition to any team! These are thebest Toxic types in the world ofTemtem, and where they can be located.

temtem, hazrat

Updated on July 15, 2025, by Mehrdad Khayyat:Toxic is one of the types that mostly appear along with other types in a creature, though there are limited Toxic-only Temtems as well. Regarding how effective Toxic creatures can be against Water and Nature types, players would like to add at least a bunch of Toxic Temtems to the roster.

Due to their Toxic nature, these creatures are immune to the Poisonous status effect, which is a big plus for them, though they are also pretty weak against Wind techniques.

Temtem, Mushook

Overall Stat: 453

Hazrat is a dual-type Toxic and Fire Temtem. Its name is a fusion between ‘hazard’ and ‘rat,’ hence its rat-like physical appearance. At level 64, Hazrat learns the Wastewater Toxic Technique. This basically causes raw sewage to rain down on the opponent, inflicting Toxic Damage and Poisoning them for one turn. Hazrat has the highest base ATK of all Toxic Temtem, making it a great addition to any player’s squad.

Hazrat is great for inflicting the Poisoned Condition as a Toxic-type Temtem. One of its randomly-assigned Traits, Contagious, can inflict Poison onto any rival that exits the battlefield. Hazrat notably does not evolve into or from any other Temtem. It can be found on Arbury Island, in Sewers of Properton. Braeside Castle also has decent spawn rates of 10-90%.

Temtem, Adoroboros

9Mushook

Mushook is a Toxic and Melee Temtem. It is a humanoid mushroom-like Temtem, sporting a blue toadstool cap, two drooping rabbit-like ears, and boxing-glove hands. Mushook is the final stage of a two-stage evolutionary line and evolves from Mushi after 20 levels.

At level 22, Mushook can learn the Paralyzing Poison Technique. This traps and poisons an enemy target for four turns. This ability synergies with another Toxic ally, which causes the Poison to last for six turns instead. Mushook can be found in the Sewers of Properton on Arbury Island.

Temtem, Noxolotl

Overall Stat: 444

Adoroboros is a pink liquid-like lizard Temtem with a pair of dark purple wings. It is perpetually sleeping; an unusual mix of cute and deadly. Adoroboros is a hybrid Temtem with both Toxic and Mental typing, and does not evolve into or from any other Temtem. Adoroboros has a Toxic Technique called Pollution. This handy skill inflicts the rival team with the Poisoned Condition for two turns, causing them to lose 10% of their max STA.

Currently, Adoroboros has the highest base SPDEF stat ofall Temtem in-gameand is well worth capturing. This Temtem can be found at the Xolot Reservoir on Tucma or the Braeside Castle on Arbury.

Kalabyss-Temtem

7Noxolotl

Overall Stat: 463

Noxolotl’s name is derived from Noxious and Axolotl. Its face resembles a lizard with four eyes, four legs, and a colorful rainbow mane resembling dreadlocks. Noxolotl has well-rounded base stats, particularly with high DEF and SPATK. With Toxic-type abilities like Acid Reflux and Toxic Ink, Noxolotl can maintain the Poisoned Condition on opponents, consistently dealing passive damage.

Noxolotlevolves from Toxolotlafter leveling up 30 times. This is the only way to obtain one, as they cannot be caught in the wild. Since Toxolotl has a Toxic nature too, Noxolotl does not receive a secondary nature after evolution.

Temtem, Goolder

Overall Stat: 446

Being a defense-heavy creature, Kalabyss comes with a DEF score of 100, which is exceptional, but the Temtem actually sacrifices STA (37) and SPD (37) to achieve that. So, it’s pretty obvious that Kalabyss is a situational Temtem.

Using Toxic Farewell allows Kalabyss to deal a Poisonous status effect to all enemy team members after being knocked out. The other trait, Mucous, reduces incoming Toxic or Electric Technique damage by 30%. Mucous also makes Kalabyss immune to Cold, Frozen, and Burned conditions.

Temtem, Platimous

5Goolder

Overall Stat: 461

Goolder is solely a Toxic-type Temtem. It has probablyone of the funniest character designs in-game, with its green blob-like appearance and purple tongue drooping out of its gaping mouth. Its aesthetic may remind avidPokémonfans of the Poison-type Pokémon, Grimer. Goolder evolves from Blooze after levelling up 25 times and is its final evolution.

Goolder has the highest base HP of all Temtem, making it a great sponge to soak up any damage. Goolder also has the highest base STA stats of all available Toxic Temtem. Goolder cannot be captured in the wild; the only way to obtain one is by evolving a Blooze. Blooze can be found in the Corrupted Badlands on Tucma.

Temtem, Volarend

Overall Stat: 462

Platimous is both a Water and Toxic-type Temtem. It evolves from Platox after 20 levels and is the final evolution of Platypet in a three-stage evolutionary line. Platimous has the highest base SPD and SPATK of all Toxic-type Temtem. Platimous can be bestowed with one of the two passive traits: Zen or Determined. Zen gives the user DEF and SPDEF bonuses when afflicted with the Asleep Condition.

Despite being found in the wild, Platox can’t be captured unless the player uses a TemCardX, which is the only way to catch third-stage evolutions. Platimous does spawn at Dabmis’ Rest on Deniz. The only other way to obtain one is by evolving a Platox.

Tortenite-Temtem

Overall Stat: 457

Volarend is a Toxic and Wind Temtem and the best Toxic Temtem currently in the game. Volarend is bird-like withits physical appearance, wielding a vicious expression likely to scare off any opponent. It has average base stats but with a rare SPDEF. Toxic Plume is an excellent Toxic Technique exclusive to Volarend, and 50 damage, inflicting an opponent with the Poisoned Condition for one turn.

Volarend is the final stage of a two-stage evolutionary line. It evolves from Zephyruff after leveling up 22 times. Players can find Volarend in two locations on Kisiwa: Mawingu Islets and Kilima Peaks. Players can also find Volarend on Tucma, in Kupeleleza, with anextremely rare spawn chance.

Akrenox-Temtem

2Tortenite

Overall Stat: 478

Tortenite is one of the hard-to-achieve creatures in Temtem, as it requires 51 levels of upgrade over Crystle to finally become available. That said, the grind is well-worth it as Tortenite is the strongest Toxic Temtem based on the overall stat.

Although the creature suffers from a poor ATK rating (45), it has impressive HP (85), DEF (82), and SPATK (84) scores. Tortenite’s Confined trait is exclusive and grants it extra DEF and SPDEF when affected by the Trapped condition. The other trait, Efficient, decreases the cost of its damage-dealing Techniques by 30%.

1Akranox

Overall Stat: 472

Akranox is a fairly balanced Temtem that comes with decent stats all around. Excluding STA (52), all other stats of Akranox are either 71 or 68. So, it’s safe to say that the Temtem is a jack-of-all-trades within the Toxic type. It’s worth noting that Akranox doesn’t have an evolution.

This creature comes with two exclusive traits: Book Lungs and Cobweb. The former reduces incoming Water Technique damages by 50%, while the latter applies Trapped conditions to victims who have already been affected by the Poisonous condition.
