There’s a lot of beautiful and valuable gear inBaldur’s Gate 3that players can use to adorn their characters, and that’s how every RPG should be. The rings and jewelry don’t always appear as a unique trinket during adventures or when the character is fighting or traveling, but they do appear during the cutscenes.
The wide variety of crates, chests, safes, dead enemies, and ornate lockboxes ofBaldur’s Gate 3are filled with riches, including a wide variety of amulets. These accessories have passive abilities, while others give a character skills and abilities their class wouldn’t normally have. There are a few notable ones from Act 1 that players should seek out before moving on to the rest of the story.

Updated on Jun 13, 2025, by Kristy Ambrose:Baldur’s Gate 3 is still on a roll in 2024, with several more wins at the DICE Awards and the GLAAD Awards, along with a whole new pile of nominations from BAFTA, the British Academy Film Awards. This tempers some of the disappointing news that no sequels or DLCs will be forthcoming from Larian Studios, but players are still discovering all of the hidden stories, secrets, and sweet loot that are left throughout the game. Some of that cool stuff includes a few more useful and valuable Baldur’s Gate 3 amulets.
13Beastmaster’s Chain
Tame Any Savage Beast
If anyone ever wondered how the Goiblins controlled the wild animals that were kept in the worg pens, it was probably by using this amulet. The Beastmaster’s chain is in a chest near the worg pens, and if Tav asks the nearby Goblins they’ll mention there’s something important in it.
Equipping the Beastmaster’s Chain grants the wearer the abilityto cast the spell Animal Friendship, which keeps an animal from attacking them. It normally lasts for ten turns but can be cut short if the beast takes any damage, and won’t work at all if the animal has an Intelligence higher than 3.

12Moondrop Pendant
Avoid Attacks of Opportunity
The Owlbear Cave doesn’t just contain the resident monster and her baby but an ancient shrine to the goddess Selune. There’s a trick to opening the small, enchanted chest resting in a pool of sunlight in front of a ruined statue.
If the protagonist says a certain prayer to the moon goddess, Shadowheart won’t like it but it breaks the spell locking the chest, and this is where you may find theMoondrop Pendant. It’s a handy thing to have early in the game because it makes the wearer immune to Attacks of Opportunity.

11The Amulet Of Lost Voices
An amulet of Rare quality that a character will use more often than any other damage or defensive spell,The Amulet Of Lost Voicesgives the wearer the abilityto cast Speak with Dead. This useful spell is the key to getting vital information about certain quests and obscure locations, and any class can cast it when wearing this amulet.
The amulet can be found in a chest in the Dank Crypt, one of the first places that the player can visit next to the wreckage of the Illithid ship. Obtaining it also inspires anyone in the party who happens to be an Acolyte with The Final Scribe’s Boon.

10Absolute’s Talisman
An Extra Healing Ability
After defeating True Soul Gut in the Shattered Sanctum, the player can loot theAbsolute’s Talismanfrom her corpse. It’s not the most fancy-looking bauble, but it gives the wearer some life-saving abilities.
The necklace grants the passive benefit of giving the wearer an Advantage on death saving throws. It also gives them the power to cast Aid once per day, a spell that gives the target 5 extra hit points.

9Broodmother’s Revenge
A Poisonous Retort
This handy necklace belongs to Kagha, the Druid that Halsin left in charge of the Grove, and there are a few different ways to wrest it from her grasp. The easiest and least violent way, provided you have a decent Dexterity score and Sleight of Hand ability, is to pickpocket it. Those with more violent inclinations have the option of killing her and looting it from her corpse.
The Broodmother’s Revenge gives its wearer a handy passive defensive ability that’s triggered by healing spells and abilities. When the wearer is healed, their weapon becomes coated in poison and deals an extra 1d4 damage. An appropriate amulet for a Druid who owns a venomous pet snake.

8The Spectator Eyes
Kill A Monster And Reap The Magical Rewards
An amulet with one spell is great already, but one that has two is even better. The Spectator Eyesis an amulet that players can find near the end of Act 1 when they’re exploring the Underdark, provided they kill a Spectator they meet on the way.
This Very Rare quality amulet gives the wearer the ability to cast Ray of Fear and Wounding Ray, two level 3 spellsfrom the School of Necromancy. Each spell can be used as an Ability once per day.

7Amulet of Selune’s Chosen
A Healing Spell For Any Class Or Character
Exploring the Shattered Sanctum, which is found beneath the Goblin Camp in Act 1,reveals some valuable rewards. One of the treasures that players can find here is the Amulet of Selune’s chosen, hidden away in a chest located past the throne room.
This amulet allows the wearer to cast Selune’s Dream, a healing spell that restores 1D8 hit points, but there’s a catch. Players should be careful when and who this spell is cast upon, as it also has a chance to put the target to sleep.

6Komira’s Locket
A Valuable Gift From An Early Quest
If the player successfully saves Arabella from the wrath of the Arch Druid, the young tiefling’s mother will hand over her locket as a reward. It appears to have been a gift from her husband, according to the engraving on the back.
The amulet gives the wearer the power to cast the spellDancing Lightsonce per day. That doesn’t seem like much, but for those who are venturingthrough the Underdark, it can save the party from succumbing to the power of the Darkness, which damages characters every turn unless they’re within range of a light source.

5Silver Pendant
A Minor But Useful Buff
It’s a simple necklace of Uncommon quality that players find if they loot a skeleton sitting near a cliff in Druid Grove. This amulet is one of the reasons why, when playing an RPG, it’s important to explore everywhere and loot everything.
The wearer of this necklace can use the Guidance spell as a cantrip. It’s not exactly something to keep forever, but early in the game, when characters might need some help with Ability checks, it’s a nice item to get started.

4The Amulet of Misty Step
Mobility On And Off The Battlefield
It used to drop from Minthara in the Shattered Sanctum, but afterBaldur’s Gate 3went through Patch 9, theAmulet Of Misty Stepcan be found in the Myconid Colony. The friendly Illithid Omeluum sells it among his wares, and it’s worth the gold.
Misty Step is one of the most useful spells throughout the game and is just as handy in or out of combat. Use it to access awkward places like balconies or rooftops, remove a character from an awkward situation, get them within melee range of a target, or allow them to bypass a dangerous obstacle by teleporting over it.
