Assassin’s Creed Valhallawas one of the most anticipated games shown off at yesterday’sUbisoft Forwardevent. After it was revealed that the next game in theAssassin’s Creedfranchise would be taking place in Viking Europe, players have been eager to jump into the new historical world. Now they will be able to dive even deeper into theAssassin’s Creed Valhallalandscape with the announcement of an official art book alongside the game’s release.

Dark Horse Comics will be releasing the new art book forAssassin’s Creed Valhallain collaboration with Ubisoft. The publishing house has previously released similar hardcover editions for games, includingThe Last of Us 2andStar Wars: Jedi Fallen Order. Dark Horse is also known for expanding video game storylines into comic series such asThe WitcherandTomb Raider.

The announcement from Dark Horse reveals that “The Art of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla” will be released this year, with a placeholder date of August 12, 2025, for $39.99. A deluxe edition will also be available and will include an exclusive cover, slipcase, and a lithograph art print for the extra price 0f $79.99. The book promises an insider’s look at the art direction of the game and will include concept art, production material and commentary from the creator’s intoValhalla’smany stunning environments, characters, and weapon designs.

TheAssassin’s Creedfranchise is known for its rich and accurate depictions of historical worlds, ranging from Renaissance Italy to Ancient Greece in the mostrecentAssassin’s Creed Odyssey.

Assassin’s Creed Valhallais also confirmed to be coming to next-gen consoles in the future, meaning it is certain to look extra glorious and when it eventually releases for the next generation. There are plenty of newViking weapons and charactersthat have also been introduced in the game that the art book will be able to provide an extra level of detail about.

Dark Horse also announced it would be releasing a three-part prequelcomic series forAssassin’s Creed Valhallatitled ‘Song of Glory’. Fans will be able to get their hands on the comics from October 21 which will provide a perfect lead in to the game’s release in November.

Assassin’s Creed Valhallawill be released on November 17 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions coming soon.
