Reddit user Coolerversionofmyslf recently shared a screenshot from theirAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsisland that features a section themed aroundStar Wars. This portion of the island is covered in sand to resemble Tatooine, and it has three height levels to reflect the mountainous nature of the planet. Cephalobot’s house is a hut that resembles Ben Kenobi’s house, and it’s flanked by two moons that are meant to be the suns of Tatooine. A damaged tank is placed beside a utility pole to add the rustic industrial feel of Tatooine to theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsisland. According to Coolerversionofmyslf, their Tatooine section of theAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsisland is designated for Cephalobot alone.
Some additionalAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsitems used in the Tatooine setting include a tin robot, stone table, campfire cookware, oil-barrel bathtub, sand castle, utility wagon, tiki torches, throwback rockets, oil barrels, stalls, milk cans, meter and pipes, glowing moss jars, wooden boxes, and tourist telescopes. With one player stating thatNew Horizons' Gyroidswould add to their Tatooine theme, Coolerversionofmyslf hinted that they may add to the design. Not taking inspiration from any specific part of Tatooine, Coolerversionofmyslf stated that their island design takes aspects of different parts of theStar Warsplanet.
Cephalobot may be the perfect villager to base the Tatooine setting around given his robotic look and the Ben Kenobi-like house. Because Coolerversionofmyslf hasn’t elaborated on the process of making theAnimal Crossing: New HorizonsTatooine, it’s currently unclear how long the creation took. Given that there are somerareAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsitemsin the setting, it may take a while to acquire the pieces to replicate Coolerversionofmyslf’s Tatooine.
Animal Crossing: New Horizonsis available now for Nintendo Switch.
