Rick and Morty’s Rushed Licensed Adventure

Rick and Morty’s Rushed Licensed Adventurewas the first game that the duo featured in. Released in 2014, the point-and-click Flash game isn’t available on Adult Swim’s website anymore, but it fit the series’ tone pretty well. The pixelated graphics and 16-bit style of music fit with its less-than serious nature. Its title is also a poke at the rushed nature of some licensed products that popular franchises have quickly released in the past. While it didn’t offer as much as some other video games with Rick and Morty, it carried the spirit of the series.

Rick and Morty in Dota 2

Rick and Morty made one of their first video game cameos withDota 2in August 2015. While it wasn’t anything as significant as the skins inFortnite’sSeason 7, the announcer pack was still a cool way to include them. It replacedDota 2’sdefault announcer and mega-kills announcer with lines spoken by both Rick and Morty.

Pocket Mortys

In January 2016,Pocket Mortyswas released for iOS and Android. One of manyPokemoncloneson the market,Pocket Mortyspokes a decent amount of fun at the genre and parodiesPokemon’splaystyle well. WhilePocket Mortysapproach is humorous, the game itself still has depth. With over 400 Mortys and multiple dimensions to visit there is a ton of content to play. Users might not be able to catch Lugia, but they can still subject Mortys to their maniacal wills.

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-ality

Rick and Morty: Virtual Rick-alityis a pretty solid way to experienceRick and Mortyas a video game. Some fans might be anxiously waiting for a dedicated title full of adventures and interdimensional exploration, butVirtual Rick-alityis an immersive experience that should scratch that itch just a little bit. It isn’t quite as responsive as the reality crafted by the Zigerions trying to get the code toRick’s safe, but it’s a solid middle-ground.Virtual Rick-alitywas originally released in 2017 for PC and got a PSVR release about a year later.

Rick and Morty in Fortnite

For many fans, the recent skins inFortniteare probably going to be the creme-de-la-creme when it comes toRick and Mortyvideo game content. While it isn’t a title dedicated to the characters, their crossover is still a cool addition for people that love bothFortniteandRick and Morty. The Mecha-Morty skingoes beyond just a simple Morty option, and brings up fond memories of his time with Snowball early in the series. Video game DLC can be a hot topic, but it’s always nice to see crossovers that are designed to be appreciated by fans, even if they’re just cosmetics like theseRick and Mortyskins.
