Nintendo Switch players can rejoice as the developers ofAlan Wake Remasteredhave announced that the game will arrive on the platform this fall. The announcement was made in a video released by Remedy Entertainment ahead of the original game’s 12th anniversary. The footage shows Remedy Creative Director Sam Lake, as well as Ilkka Villi and Matthew Porretta, who provided the physical model and voice acting for the titular character, respectively. The initial parts of the video show the three of them discussing their experiences while creating the game and also exploringAlan Wake’s personality and character.
Eventually, they confirmedAlan Wake Remasteredwould roll out for Nintendo Switch during the fall of this year, but no official release date was given. Many fans may be pleased to hear that the game will run natively on the hardware instead of through Cloud streaming. However, Sam Lake revealed that Remedy Entertainment will not release any new footage aboutAlan Wake 2this summer, which could disappoint fans. He justified this by saying that making a high-quality game trailer requires a lot of effort and months of work, potentially delaying the release date.
Since its announcement with a trailer last year, the developers have sporadically released tiny bits of information aboutAlan Wake 2. The game will be a full-blown survival horror title, and according to Sam Lake,Alan Wake 2will be Remedy’s most beautiful game ever. Many other details have been revealed, including the game’s third-person perspective and M rating.
Many people suggestAlan Wake 2will possibly benefit from an M ratingdue to a multitude of factors. People mainly believe that asAlan Wake 2will be more centered around horror and survival aspects, a more mature rating makes sense. An M rating will also allow the devs to more meaningfully exploreAlan Wakeas a character.
