VentureBeat suggests thatSuper Mario 3D Worldwill get a separate release, which would align with past rumors of aSuper Mario 3D WorldSwitch port. It’s also been suggested that Nintendo will release the 3DSuper Marioremasters separately instead of in one package, but that remains to be seen.
Since the news broke that Nintendo is supposedly planning on announcingSuper Marioremasters for the Switch, many fans have expressed their excitement online. Out of the 3DSuper Mariogames in the collection, it seemsSuper Mario Sunshinemay be one of the most exciting games in the bunch, as the game is not playable on any modern gaming systems, whereas the other titles are available on the Wii U.
The reports coming out about theSuper Marioremasters have also suggested thatSuper Mariofans have a lot more to look forward to in 2020 as well. Beyond the remasters, the reports claim that anewPaper Mariogame is in the works for the Switch, and that the game will launch later in 2020. Other newMariovideo game projects are also apparently on deck for 2020 as well, so fans should stay tuned for more information.
Nintendo is also supposedly going to reveal more about theSuper Mariotheme park at Universal Studios, as well as theSuper Marioanimated movie. Since E3 2020 was set to take place in June, one has to imagine that Nintendo will still host a presentation revealing all of this around that time, but it’s possible that it will do so earlier or later than originally planned. Hopefully Nintendo provides some official details so fans can stop speculating.
